The Speakers

Alexis Kennedy is Chief Narrative Officer at Failbetter, an award-winning games studio whose obsession with narrative borders on the notorious. Their StoryNexus platform allows anyone to build, share and monetize storygames. Their first project, Fallen London, won the Escapist’s Best Browser Game Award. The Guardian calls it “beautifully moody and lusciously written” and the New Yorker calls it “rich with clever machinations”. Their clients include Channel 4, BBC, Random House and O2.

Alexis has spoken at Playful, Stagconf, the Story, Transmedia London and Develop, and consulted with Failbetter for clients ranging from BioWare to Screen North.

Antony White and Steven Craft left positions at Traveller’s Tales to co-found Paw Print Games, an independent studio developing for iOS, Android, Palm, Bada, WP7, DS, 3DS and PSP using their own games engine. As a result, there’s very little they don’t know about cross-platform production. Their flagship game, Kami Retro, has been received with great critical acclaim and has featured in a number of ‘best of’ lists for platformers since its release.
