Over the past 12 months Games Wales has been working with partners in Scotland and Northern Ireland to develop the Celtic Games Network. By working in partnership, the games industries in all 3 nations can benefit from knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Following on from 5 successful Wales Games Development Showcases, it was decided this year to launch the inaugural Celtic Games Show bringing the best talent from all 3 nations together under one roof in Cardiff.

Originally scheduled for the 10th of June at the Tramsheds the date has now been put pack to a yet to be confirmed date in October at the same venue.

“The response to the Celtic Games Network and the inaugural show has been such that we are having to move it to the Autumn in order to make sure we can get everyone who wishes to attend accommodated” says Games Wales chair Huw Marshall “As the show will be travelling amongst the Celtic nations over the years to come, it’s vital we, along with our Celtic partners, get the first one set up perfectly. This years show is a major step up from previous Welsh Games shows”

The Autumn show will feature exhibitors, masterclasses, educational workshops, business advice, lots of games and the very first Celtic Games Awards. We’ll be bringing together the best of the best in order to inspire, encourage collaboration and expose the growing Welsh games industry to the UK and the rest of the world.

Games Wales will be holding an Industry Business Day at the Tramsheds on Friday the 9th of June, where further information on the Celtic Games Show will be released.
