The Sessions

We’re continuing our GamesDev Sessions, a series of lectures in South Wales for anyone interested in the video games industry. The Sessions are a set of free talks by games development professionals aimed at giving insight into all sorts of aspects of game creation, from game design to financing, from coding to visual effects, from publishing to narrative design. We’ll be bringing in speakers from all over the industry – indies, AAA, education, trade bodies, government.

Session #9 – Nintendo & Multiplay

Talks will start at 6.30pm at the University of South Wales, Atrium, 86-88 Adam Street, Cardiff. CF24 2FN

This session’s talks will be:

  • Ed Valiente – Nintendo : Ed is a Business Development Manager for Nintendo Europe, he will be talking about what it takes to get your games published on Nintendo’s platforms. Ed has17 years in the interactive entertainment industry with experience covering all areas of post-production (QA, Localisation, Product Evaluation), marketing and PR, sales, business development, mobile distribution, new platforms, 1st and 3rd party business. He specialises in International Business Development, Research and Market Analysis.
  • Tom Daniel & Larry Rye – Multiplay : Tom & Larry will be talking about Multiply and what services they provide, giving key insights into the current state of the art for online gaming and hosting. Founded in 1997, Multiplay is a gaming services company specialising in a variety of areas of work including events services, online services, systems development, digital consultancy, eSports and more. Dedicated to bringing people together in worlds both physical and virtual, Multiplay also runs the Insomnia Gaming Festival.
